The volcanic archipelagos have the characteristic to offer reliefs of the sea bed of an immense variety. Indeed, the stone in fusion in contact with water was solidified by creating caves and canyons of all depths and all sizes. The caves became magical places that lodge several species of fish.
One is generally surprised by their size and their diversity. The scarcity of the underwater fishermen on this part of the world, contributes to the evolution and the preservation of the species.

Here, Atlantic fauna mixes with tropical fauna. We can find pudding-wifes, triggerfishes, girelles peacock, tazards, carangues, barracudas and another fish-balloons.

The blue rhynophores and the black nudibranches swim along with the divers. Although the site makes it possible to carry out deeper dives, strong feelings await you between 15 and 30 meters.

Difficult to speak about the underwater fauna of the Azores without evoking the pelagic species which cross within a few miles of the coast.
